St. Joseph Family Support Organization offers the follwoing scholarships
1. Scholarship to study at LTU
As part of our ongoing mission to support families and youth in our communities, St. Joseph Family Support (SJFS) is pleased to announce a scholarship opportunity offered by Lawrence Technological University (LTU). This scholarship is available exclusively to active SJFS members residing in Michigan, Ohio, or Indiana.
To be considered for this scholarship while studying at Lawrence Technological University (LTU), applicants must meet the following St. Joseph membership requirements:
1.Active Membership:
Applicants must be existing members of SJFS in good standing at the time of application.
2.Membership Contribution:
To maintain active membership status, the following minimum monthly contributions apply:
•Families: $50 per month
•Individuals: $30 per month
3.Duration of Membership:
Membership must be maintained throughout the entire duration of the scholarship period. Failure to maintain active membership may result in the loss of eligibility or discontinuation of scholarship benefits.
4.Financial Hardship Exception:
SJFS recognizes that some members may face periods of financial hardship. Exceptions to the above contribution requirements may be considered on a case-by-case basis, upon request and review by the SJFS Board.
5.Membership Form Submission:
To complete your membership, please complete, sign, and submit the attached SJFS Membership Form prior to applying for the scholarship. Scholarship applications will only be considered from individuals or family members with a completed and active membership on file.

2. Merit-based Scholarship
Currenty closed, will be accepting new applications starting April 2026
In an effort to support outstanding local students pursuing higher education, St. Joseph Family Support announces the annual scholarship of $1000 for the academic year 2024-2025. This Scholarship is open to all high school senior students in south- east Michigan regardless of race, religion, or gender.
Selection Process
The selection committee chosen by St. Joseph will carefully review scholarship applications submitted by students based on the criteria listed below. The scholarship will be awarded to successful recipients at the start of the 2025-2026 academic year, with proof of full time enrollment in a 4 year college program.
The scholarship is based on merit, although financial need may be considered as educational assistance gift. The Scholarship shall be administered by the St. Joseph Family Support Organization according to their rules and guidelines.Special emphasis will placed on the school GPA and the standardized test score
Scholarship Requirements
Only students who are currently in their senior year of high school are eligible to apply. Applicants must have a minimum high school GPA of 3.75 out of 4.0.
The application must be completed in full and received no later than 6/15/2026. Full application with supported documents can be submitted through the form below or emailed to Scholarship@stjosephfs.org
Any applications delivered after the due date (6/15/2026) will be considered disqualified.
Documents to submit with the application:

- Original school transcript.
- Copy of your standardized testing (ACT/SAT) score.
- THREE recommendation letters from school teachers or work managers (Letters of recommendations must be sent directly from the teacher’s school email or manager’s work email to Scholarship@stjosephfs.org).
